Firefighters Contain Beit Keshet Forest Blaze After Four Hours
At 10:07 p.m. IDT, Ynet reported that firefighting forces had gained control of the Beit Keshet Forest blaze after more than four hours. The operation used 10 firefighting crews, KKL teams and six aircraft from the Elad aerial firefighting squadron, which helped stop the flames spreading and protect forest land. Firefighters remained on the ground to extinguish remaining hotspots. The update matters because Israel's forests, rural communities and hikers depend on fast coordination between local crews, KKL and aerial firefighting during summer fire conditions.
