Beit Keshet Forest Fire Prompts Hiker Evacuation

A fire broke out on July 5 in Beit Keshet Forest in the Lower Galilee, with KKL teams evacuating hikers from the area. 10 firefighting crews worked to contain the flames, supported by six aircraft from the Elad aerial firefighting squadron. No injuries or damage were reported initially, and the cause was not yet stated. The incident is local but timely, showing why Israel's forest communities, emergency dispatchers, KKL crews and aerial firefighters need fast coordination during summer fire conditions.
