Dizengoff Center Condemns Unauthorized 'Palestinian State' Banner, Calls Police

Dizengoff Center said activists from the Standing Together and A Land for All groups hung a banner reading 'One day a Palestinian state will be established, and there will be peace here' at the Tel Aviv mall without its knowledge or authorization. Management said the sign was visible for only a few seconds before it was removed, and that police were called to the scene. The statement followed online reactions that attributed the banner to the mall. Officials said the incident produced an enormous wave of hatred toward the center, stressed that they condemn the message, and said the publicity was harming employees and the livelihoods of hundreds of people.
