Hapoel Be'er Sheva Beats Sabah 2-1 in Bucharest, One Game From the Champions League

Hapoel Be'er Sheva came from behind to beat Azerbaijan's Sabah 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League play-off round, played at Stadionul Giulesti in Bucharest, where the Israeli champion hosts its European home matches. Veljko Simic headed Sabah in front early on, and Javon East leveled for Hapoel before the break. Igor Zlatanovic completed the turnaround with a second-half header from Eliel Peretz's corner. Ran Kozuch's side takes the one-goal advantage to Baku for the second leg on Tuesday, August 25, with a place in the Champions League league phase at stake.
