Amnesty Germany Says Hamas Killings and Atrocities Must End

Amnesty International Germany secretary-general Julia Duchrow said Hamas killings, human-rights violations and atrocities must end, and called for everyone who ordered or carried out abuses to be held accountable. Amnesty said Hamas authorities and affiliated forces in Gaza must end extrajudicial executions, arbitrary arrests, torture and vigilante punishment, and that restoring order cannot justify reprisals or collective punishment. The group documented nine extrajudicial executions and one unlawful killing, mostly after the October 2025 ceasefire announcement. A U.N. commission recorded 249 executions or cases of severe violence from August 2024 through January 2026, with at least 108 deaths, 384 injuries and Hamas-affiliated forces involved in at least 60 incidents.
