Ben Gurion Hits Maximum 5.0 Global Airport Disruption Score

Ben Gurion Airport reached Flightradar24’s maximum 5.0 disruption score for both arrivals and departures Friday morning. The index runs from 0 to 5 and combines delayed-flight totals, average delay length and cancellations, with 3.5 already classified as major disruption. Departure boards showed delays of at least two hours, some travelers reported waits exceeding 12 hours, and inbound passengers waited more than two hours for luggage. El Al canceled flight LY8 from New York because accumulated delays would have pushed its landing past the start of Shabbat.
