IDF Strikes Baraashit Building After Suspects Cross Security-Zone Line

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Baraashit's green terraced hillside, with leafy branches in the foreground, a low stone wall across the grass, and scattered village buildings on the far slope, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue chalk and pastel strokes with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Kfir Brigade troops under the 91st Division identified several suspects near Baraashit in southern Lebanon after they crossed the security-zone line and entered a building. The IDF said the suspects posed an immediate threat to its forces. Acting on the brigade’s direction, the Israeli Air Force struck the building; the military did not identify the suspects or report casualties. The incident occurred earlier Friday. The IDF said it remains committed to the Israel-Lebanon agreement and will continue acting to remove immediate threats.
