Iranian Armed Forces chief Major General Ali Abdollahi warned that Iran would answer new U.S. threats with broad and decisive “crushing, punishing and devastating responses.” He issued the warning in a Defense Industry Day message to acting Defense Minister Majid Ibn Al-Reza and claimed readiness across land, sea, air, air defense, space and cyber domains. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington would unveil what he called its toughest sanctions package on Monday. President Donald Trump had also warned of economic consequences for countries providing Tehran a lifeline.
