Pezeshkian Calls for Ending Iran War While Claiming Victory

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called for ending the war while Iran has “power and dignity,” claiming the world recognizes an Iranian victory. Speaking Friday to the Islamic Association of the Medical Society, he described the recent negotiated arrangement as a major achievement approved unanimously by the Supreme National Security Council. Pezeshkian said the other side must fulfill its obligations, while asserting that Iran would not submit to coercion and remained militarily prepared to answer renewed attacks. He also acknowledged inflation, shortages and wartime hardship, and said the government remains responsible for livelihoods and health care.
