Turkey Seeks Interpol Red Notices for Netanyahu and Moskovitch

Turkey's Justice Ministry asked the Interior Ministry to pursue Interpol Red Notices for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Afek Moskovitch, Justice Minister Akın Gürlek said. The ministry also sent case documents to the Foreign Ministry, advancing arrest orders issued July 14 by Istanbul's 11th High Criminal Court in proceedings involving 35 defendants. Gürlek tied the case to Israel's interception of Global Sumud Flotilla activists and repeated Turkey's allegations of genocide and other crimes. Interpol says a Red Notice requests a person's location and provisional arrest and is not itself an international arrest warrant.
