IDF Accelerates Destruction of Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon

Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF to deepen and accelerate the destruction of Hezbollah military infrastructure throughout southern Lebanon, according to a report citing Northern Command and security officials. Officers said two decades of Iranian advice and funding helped Hezbollah build weapons depots, command rooms, observation posts, launch positions and concealed areas intended to support thousands of operatives. The reported sites span Hula, Khiam, Bint Jbeil, Tebnine, Zoutar al-Sharqiya and smaller villages. IDF engineering forces are also opening routes to improve protection, logistics, armored access and maintenance, while security officials said the Lebanese army has not achieved the expected engineering results.
