IDF Inquiry Finds Hamas Directed Children to Fly Four Kites Into Israel

Initial Southern Command inquiries found Hamas commanders directed children and teenagers to launch four kites from northern Gaza toward Israel over two days. The kites were recovered in the Nahal Oz sector, one bearing an Arabic message rendered as “We’ll never calm down,” and none carried explosives, incendiary material or other sabotage devices. The defense establishment assessed the launches as psychological harassment rather than a concrete military threat. At least seven kites have been found near the Gaza border since October 7, and Southern Command is examining Hezbollah’s fiber-optic drone method in case Hamas adopts it, while reporting no evidence of such activity in Gaza.
