Survey Finds Half of Reservist Families Suffered Employment Harm

A survey commissioned by the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and conducted by Geocartography found that about half of reservist families reported employment harm. Among all respondents, 55% said reserve duty raised household costs, including transport, food delivery, treatment, equipment and childcare. The 802-person survey also found that 51% of reservist parents were highly stressed about school-year expenses, while 23% of school-age parents nationally could not buy every required supply. The fellowship plans to provide NIS 300 school-supply cards to more than 10,000 children and teenagers.
