Givati Platoon Gets 21-Day Confinement After Female Medic Dispute

Three Givati soldiers reportedly refused to board a Namer armored personnel carrier while their battalion operated in Gaza because a female medic was inside, saying they were following rabbinic instructions. When commanders asked the rest of their Hesder platoon to ride with her, no soldier agreed, and the entire platoon received 21 days of confinement. Commanders were also considering removing the three initial soldiers from combat roles. The Hesder Yeshivot Association said they followed standing religious-service rules and should not be punished; the IDF had not issued a response when the report was published.
