Cassif Says Joint List Likely to Back Eisenkot if Needed to Replace Netanyahu

Hadash MK Ofer Cassif said a reconstituted Joint List would most likely recommend Gadi Eisenkot if replacing Benjamin Netanyahu depended on its support. Cassif told Radio Haifa that the bloc could accept an ideological compromise if a prospective government's guidelines were not ideal but remained ones it could live with. Hadash, Ta'al and Balad recently announced a joint slate led by Yousef Jabareen, with Ahmad Tibi second, Sami Abu Shehadeh third and Cassif sixth. His remarks were conditional and did not constitute a formal recommendation.
