Maj. Gen. Amir Hatami, commander of Iran’s regular army, said Iranian missile and drone units kept firing at “maximum intensity” until the final moments of the U.S.-Israel war. Speaking at a congress in Gilan Province honoring 3,785 Iranian Army personnel killed, he said the campaign sought to eliminate those capabilities. Hatami also claimed Iranian air defenses damaged unmanned and manned aircraft and strategic equipment, without providing figures. He acknowledged personnel losses and damage to Iranian facilities and equipment, while arguing that the attackers failed to achieve their objectives.
