ACV Puls Files Strike Notice Over Brussels Airlines’ Tel Aviv Staffing

Belgian union ACV Puls filed a strike notice effective September 1 after Brussels Airlines said it would resume ordinary mandatory crew assignments for September flights to Tel Aviv. The union says the route had previously been staffed only by volunteers and alleges the airline changed course because too few employees volunteered. It says employees raised safety, psychological and ethical concerns and should be allowed to decline without professional or financial penalties. No strike or cancellation has begun; ACV Puls says any action would be limited to Tel Aviv flights if the airline does not reverse the staffing decision.
