UAE Reopens Lebanon Travel After War-Related Ban

The UAE Foreign Ministry said Emirati nationals may travel to Lebanon again starting June 29, while registering through the Tawajudi service before departure. Gulf and Lebanese reports say the decision followed official UAE-Lebanon coordination, including work by the UAE-Lebanese joint committee and senior contacts with President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. The step is regional, not an Israeli concession: travel normalcy is welcome only if Lebanese sovereignty replaces Hezbollah's weapons. For Jerusalem, Gulf confidence returning to Lebanon should reinforce, not soften, Israel's demand for verified Hezbollah disarmament and durable security on the northern border.
