Orna Zamir Resigns From Tomer Food Board Amid Conflict-of-Interest Scrutiny

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Eyal Zamir in uniform and a beret as two suited officials pin insignia to his shoulders, with Orna Zamir standing behind him, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Orna Zamir, wife of IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, resigned as an independent director of Tomer Food effective September 1, less than four months after joining the board. The company said media attention surrounding her appointment led to the decision, while Zamir said the attention could harm its business. The disclosure said she would hold no other role at the company. Tomer Food has separately delayed its second-quarter results while an independent review examines historical inventory accounting, and trading in its shares remains suspended.
