IDF Identifies Two Hamas Operatives Killed in Monday Gaza Strike

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of two helmeted Israel Defense Forces soldiers moving cautiously through a damaged urban street in Gaza with rifles raised, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

The IDF said Monday's Gaza strike killed Talal Mustafa Saleh Badawi, a commander in the Military Security Department of Hamas's Gaza City Brigade, and Hamas operative Momo Saeed Mohammed Hawari. According to the military, both men had recently advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and worked to restore Hamas capabilities. The IDF described that activity as a systematic ceasefire violation and said the strike removed the threat. It said precise munitions and aerial surveillance were used to mitigate civilian harm, while Southern Command troops remain deployed under the agreement.
