The IDF and Shin Bet said they killed two Hamas commanders in separate airstrikes on Sunday in Deir al-Balah and Gaza City's Shati area. Abdullah Adnan Taha Abu al-Tayf, a Nukhba commander, invaded Israel during the October 7 massacre and later fought Israeli forces throughout the war, according to the joint statement. Jalal Sbeih commanded within Hamas's Daraj Tuffah Battalion. The agencies said both men had recently tried to advance attacks against Israeli troops and civilians, while Southern Command forces remain deployed under the Gaza agreement and continue removing threats.
