IDF Identifies Nukhba Cell Leader Killed After Nir Oz Raid

The IDF said a Saturday airstrike in southern Gaza killed Salem Jamal Abd al-Rahman Abu Labad, a Hamas Nukhba cell leader who participated in the October 7 massacre at Kibbutz Nir Oz. A separate Friday strike in central Gaza killed Mohammed Abd al-Nasser Mohammed Khatib, a commander in Hamas’s Maghazi Battalion. The military said both men served in Hamas’s armed wing and were trying to advance attacks against Israeli forces. It said the precision airstrikes removed immediate threats, while Southern Command troops remain deployed in the area under the current agreement.
