IDF Identifies October 7 Nukhba Commander Killed in Friday Nuseirat Strike

The IDF and Shin Bet announced on October 5 that a Friday airstrike in Nuseirat, central Gaza, killed Ibrahim Mustafa Suleiman Abu Awaimer, a platoon commander in Hamas’s Nukhba force. According to the announcement, he entered Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre. The military said he had recently advanced plans for terrorist attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and worked to rebuild Hamas’s capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire. It said the strike removed the threat he posed, while Southern Command forces remained deployed in accordance with the agreement.
