The IDF said it killed Hamas Nukhba operative Ismail Ibrahim Darwish Qandil in a Monday strike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. According to the military, Qandil invaded Israel during the October 7 massacre and took part in killing Nahal Brigade commander Col. Yonatan Steinberg. The IDF said he had recently advanced attack plans against troops and Israeli civilians while working to restore Hamas capabilities in violation of the ceasefire. Southern Command forces remain deployed under the agreement and will continue acting against immediate threats, the military said.
