Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of helmeted Israeli military commanders gathered inside a damaged building, with the central commander facing a shattered window and gesturing toward the ruined urban landscape outside, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue chalk and pastel strokes with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

The IDF and Shin Bet said they killed Hamas operatives Hazem Bassem Musa and Razak Suhail Suleiman Abu Shahma in the Khan Younis area. Musa, identified as a Nukhba operative, was killed on August 23, while Abu Shahma, a former bodyguard to Yahya Sinwar, was killed on August 24. Both men took part in Hamas’s October 7 assault on the Re’im military base. The agencies said the two had recently advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians while trying to rebuild Hamas capabilities, conduct Israel described as systematic ceasefire violations. The IDF said Southern Command forces remain deployed under the agreement and will act against immediate threats.
