Netanyahu Reportedly Offers Chico Tamir a Reserved Likud Slot

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly offered retired Brig. Gen. Moshe “Chico” Tamir a reserved place on Likud’s Knesset slate during the week, according to a Friday report. Tamir, 62, previously commanded the Golani Brigade and the Gaza Division. The approach follows former Shin Bet chief Avi Dichter’s loss in the Likud primary and former defense minister Yoav Gallant’s departure from the party, which left fewer senior security figures on the slate. The report did not specify a reserved-slot number or say whether Tamir accepted.
