Israel’s PISA Scores Drop 38 Points in Reading, 25 in Math and 23 in Science

The OECD’s PISA 2025 results place Israeli 15-year-olds at 442 points in science, 436 in reading and 433 in mathematics, below the OECD averages of 482, 461 and 463. Compared with 2022, Israel’s scores fell by 23 points in science, 38 in reading and 25 in mathematics, while the corresponding OECD-average declines were 3, 14 and 9 points. The report says 29.0% of Israeli students performed below Level 2 in all three subjects, compared with 19.7% across the OECD. Israel scored 444 in computational problem-solving, against an OECD average of 500.
