IDF Discloses Hezbollah Foothold Attempts Inside Southern Lebanon’s Yellow Line

The IDF’s Northern Command has disclosed that Hezbollah is trying to establish footholds in gaps inside the Yellow Line in southern Lebanon that Israeli forces had not formally entered. Command sources said Hezbollah views the enclaves as easier targets and may be seeking positions in dozens of them, including at Al-Mansouri in the Majdal Zoun municipality. Israel has known of and countered the activity for at least five weeks using airstrikes, artillery fire and combat-engineering units, without ground-troop confrontations. The command may redirect personnel and resources toward the gaps after concluding its operation on the Ali al-Taher Ridge.
