Foreign-Controlled Firms Generate 54% of Israel’s Goods Exports as Jobs Fall

Central Bureau of Statistics data show foreign-controlled companies in Israel exported NIS 143.7 billion in goods in 2025, 54.2% of national goods exports and 31% more than in 2024. CBS described the export figure as a lower bound because it excludes services. Employment at those companies fell to 288,000 jobs from 294,000 in 2024 and 303,000 in 2022, while high-tech positions declined to 139,000 from 144,000 a year earlier. Employee compensation totaled NIS 102.1 billion, including NIS 67.9 billion in high tech, and average annual compensation reached NIS 354,400 per job.
