The reservist seriously wounded in Wednesday's Route 443 vehicle-ramming attack was identified as Neria Leiter, son of Israel's ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter. He was evacuated unconscious to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem after the attack near the Maccabim checkpoint. The ambassador said emergency teams were fighting for his son's life and asked the public to pray for him. His identity was reported Wednesday evening, after initial dispatches had described only a seriously wounded man.
