Central Command Inquiry Revises Account of Deadly Kfar Tell Clash

A Central Command inquiry has revised the military's account of the deadly Kfar Tell clash, finding that Shin Bet passed preliminary information to the IDF the night before about plans for an unauthorized tour in the volatile area. The inquiry, conducted by Judea and Samaria Division commander Brig. Gen. Kobi Heller, found a gap in relaying and embedding that warning among field commanders and forces. The IDF had previously acknowledged receiving information only hours before the hike after an initial inquiry said it was unknown. Master Sgt. (res.) Benayahu Melet and Maj. Yuval Ezra were killed in the attack.
