Beersheba Market Food Festival Draws Crowds and Entry-Fee Complaints

The first two-day food festival at Beersheba's municipal market brought food stalls, music and families to the site. About 25 food compounds offered dishes from southern restaurants and guest chefs, with DJ Guy Filo playing on the second day. Resident admission cost about NIS 30, drawing complaints from some visitors about charging to enter a normally public market. Some people who arrived without advance tickets were unable to join. The event also drew criticism over crowding and insufficient seating, alongside its food and entertainment program.
