Wounded IDF Soldier Yotam Asban Joins Sukkot Celebration With Smotrich

IDF soldier Yotam Asban, who was critically wounded fighting in Jabaliya, joined the Simchat Beit Hashoeva celebration at Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva in Jerusalem on Tuesday night. Footage accompanying the report showed him dancing with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to “Tzaveh Yeshuot Yaakov.” Yeshiva head Rabbi Yaakov Shapira and the yeshiva’s rabbis welcomed Smotrich with singing. After an extended period of dancing, organizers invited the minister to play the drums, and he accepted. The gathering continued the yeshiva’s annual Sukkot celebration tradition.
