Ma'alot-Tarshiha Festival Draws About 13,000 on Opening Night

About 13,000 people attended the opening night of Ma'alot-Tarshiha's Tasting Cultures festival at Lake Monfort, according to turnout figures reported Monday evening. Sunday's opening featured Noa Kirel and Eden Ben Zaken, a farmers' market and children's activities. The three-day Sukkot festival continued Monday with theatre, circus, flamenco and dance across the city. Tuesday's closing program includes Professor Riad Aghbaria's Brain, Music and Umm Kulthum event at the Tarshiha community centre. Performances, exhibitions and workshops are also part of the closing program.
