IDF Says Brigadier General Requested Immediate Retirement After Command Review

In a statement carried in a newly published report on October 11, the IDF said an unnamed brigadier general requested immediate retirement after a command review. Military police had received a complaint in recent months from a servicemember alleging harassment by the officer in a personal dispute. Military prosecutors examined the claims and found no justification to continue a criminal investigation, according to the spokesperson's account. Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Tamir Yadai conducted the subsequent command review, at the end of which the officer asked to retire immediately.
