Netanyahu Demands Investigation of Participants in the NAZA Documentary

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent an urgent letter on Sunday to IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Shin Bet Director David Zini and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, demanding an investigation and prosecution of participants in the documentary “NAZA.” The letter concerns serving and discharged Unit 8200 soldiers interviewed for the film. Netanyahu alleged that participants may have disclosed highly classified information and endangered the unit’s information security. He also accused the film of presenting a false, misleading account that harms Israel and the IDF internationally. His letter requests legal action; it does not announce an opened investigation or filed charges.
