IDF Issues Detailed Rebuttal to NAZA Film's Gaza Targeting Claims

On Thursday, the IDF issued a detailed response rejecting the documentary NAZA's portrayal of its targeting procedures in Gaza. The military described Lavender as an intelligence database rather than a list of approved targets and said operational commanders make strike decisions. It denied ever approving a strike expected to kill 500 civilians and said the film omitted legal advisers and commanders responsible for approving attacks and reducing civilian harm. The IDF also criticized the film's treatment of Hamas's use of civilian areas. It said the filmmakers had not submitted their allegations for a response before publication and had refused to provide a copy after screening.
