IDF Says Northern Border Object Likely Had Balloon Characteristics; Origin Remains Unknown

The IDF said Tuesday morning that an in-depth investigation indicated the object that entered Israel near the northern border on Saturday evening likely had the characteristics of a balloon or a device floating using hot air. It said the object was not a drone or UAV, but its origin and purpose could not yet be established with certainty. Observers and Air Force detection systems tracked it and directed ground forces. The object has not been located on the ground, and air and ground searches continue. Home Front Command instructions remain unchanged.
