Tel Aviv Engineer Says Azrieli Seeks to Replace Spiral Tower Homes With Offices

Tel Aviv city engineer Udi Carmeli said Tuesday that Azrieli Group seeks to replace planned residential space in its Spiral Tower with office space. He disclosed the proposed change at a conference in Tel Aviv on October 13. The tower is under construction at Azrieli Center, and the conversion still awaits the required approvals. Carmeli described developers themselves initiating changes from housing to employment uses, citing engineering, planning and developer considerations that the municipality must balance.
