Home Front Command Plans Earthquake Hospital Drills and Public Campaign

Home Front Command and the Health Ministry are preparing hospital earthquake procedures, including drills that move treatment outdoors if buildings cannot be used. A Wednesday morning exercise in Nahariya rehearsed transferring patients to tents in the hospital parking area, under northern district commander Col. Paz Gadia. The reported preparations form part of IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir's 2027 work plan, with a public-information campaign expected within several weeks. Gadia said earthquake messaging would intensify from January and stressed that earthquakes cannot be predicted; preserving continuous medical care is a central challenge.
