Police Seek to Question MK Kroizer Over Mitzpe Jericho Clash

Police investigations and intelligence chief Boaz Balat has asked Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana to arrange questioning of Otzma Yehudit MK Yitzhak Kroizer over suspected assaults on police during a clash at Mitzpe Jericho. The request, reported October 14, concerns an earlier confrontation rather than a new incident. Kroizer, who chairs the Knesset's Interior and Environmental Protection Committee, denies assaulting officers and says he was trying to calm the confrontation. In a statement on his official channel, he accused Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and Balat of political persecution.
