IDF Says Ateret Vehicle Incident Was Not a Terror Attack

The IDF said a preliminary inquiry found that the vehicle incident near Ateret in the Binyamin area was not a terror attack. The driver was handed over to security forces, and Judea and Samaria District police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. An earlier military statement said an Israeli civilian had been struck by a vehicle, injured and evacuated for medical treatment. Troops and police initially pursued the suspect and set up roadblocks on roads and in villages in the area.
