Zamir Warns Escalation Risk Has Risen, Says IDF Reinforced Judea and Samaria

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned on October 14 that numerous alerts across several fronts had raised the risk of escalation. During a Central Command assessment, he said forces had been reinforced in Judea and Samaria, including the deployment of Division 98. Zamir approved plans for continued operations aimed at preventing terrorist attacks and maintaining regional stability. He said the military was prepared for extensive offensive operations if Israeli citizens were threatened. With the olive harvest underway, he also pledged to enable harvesting, preserve public order and protect all populations in the area.
