Netanyahu Defends Jewish Homeland Ties in Message to Americans

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video on Friday rejecting the portrayal of Jews as foreign occupiers of their homeland. He linked Jewish identity to Judea and argued that opposition to a Jewish state in any borders, rather than Israel’s defense of its existence, obstructs peace. Addressing Americans, Netanyahu described Israel and the United States as defending shared values against common adversaries. He warned that peace arrangements which disregard regional realities would fail and said Israel would not endanger its survival to satisfy those denying its right to exist.
