Norwegian Teen Gets 20 Years for UK Murder Plot Linked to Iran-Backed Network

A Norwegian teenager was sentenced on October 16 to 20 years’ detention for a UK contract-murder plot linked by prosecutors to the Iran-connected Foxtrot network. Johannes Natland, 19, was recruited for €25,000 and arrested in a Huddersfield hotel in March 2025 after travelling to Britain; investigators found two firearms and ammunition. He was convicted of conspiracy to murder after an Old Bailey retrial. The intended target has never been identified. Britain sanctioned Foxtrot in April 2025 for violence against Jewish and Israeli targets in Europe on Iran’s behalf.
