Iran’s Foreign Ministry Demands Evidence for UK Fairford Allegations

Iran’s Foreign Ministry demanded evidence for Britain’s attribution of Iranian involvement in the September 27 incident at RAF Fairford. In a statement transmitted on October 12, the ministry rejected the allegations and accused Britain of a false-flag operation to deflect responsibility for facilitating U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran. Those accusations are Iran’s claims. Earlier, a joint statement hosted by the British government recognized the UK’s attribution and condemned Iranian overseas violence. The participating foreign ministers cited threats involving covert networks and proxies, including attacks targeting Jewish communities, Iranian journalists and U.S. interests.
