Katz Warns Iran and Its Proxies Seek Attacks to Influence Israel’s Election

Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Tuesday evening that Israel had identified efforts by Iran and its proxies to organize attacks intended to influence the outcome of Israel’s election. Speaking at an inauguration ceremony for the Etzel Museum and an Altalena cannon, he called for unity despite political disagreements. Katz said the IDF and other security forces would defend Israel wherever necessary, with decisions determined by security needs. He warned that anyone attacking Israeli soldiers or civilians would face a severe response, whether before or after the election.
