Renovated Etzel Museum Inaugurated in Binyamina With Altalena Cannon

The renovated Etzel Museum in Binyamina’s Jabotinsky Park was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by hundreds, alongside the transfer of the cannon used to fire on the Altalena ship. Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu initiated the cannon’s move, and Defense Minister Israel Katz attended the ceremony. The museum presents the history of the Irgun, also known as Etzel, and its fighters during the British Mandate and the struggle to establish Israel. The ceremony marks completion of the transfer, following a plan reported about a year earlier.
