Kiryat Ono opened a memorial art exhibition on October 6 featuring works created through meetings between local artists and 12 bereaved families. The families shared memories, interests and unrealized hopes of their relatives, and the artists developed pieces linking personal remembrance with the wider community. The exhibition is titled “A Community Creates and Remembers, Swords of Iron War.” Mayor Michal Rosenshein attended and said the community could not remove families’ pain but could choose not to leave them bearing it alone. The city also announced an October 7 memorial ceremony at Gan HaGiborim on HaNasi Street.
