Eisenkot Accuses Television Channel of Ignoring October 7 Families’ Ceremony

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an archival solo portrait of Gadi Eisenkot in civilian clothing; contextual portrait, not a depiction of the October 7 families’ ceremony.

Gadi Eisenkot said he was leaving the families’ ceremony commemorating the October 7 disaster, which he described as honoring civilian heroism and Israeli solidarity that saved lives. In a Hebrew post, he accused an unnamed television channel of ignoring the ceremony and continuing its usual programming. He called that conduct shameful and linked it to the governing party’s behavior and what he described as an attempt to rewrite history that was hurtful to a grieving nation. His post did not identify the television channel.
